Cancellation Policy

Terms and conditions of payment: A credit card is required to hold your spot for capacity purposes. All reservations taken via a customer service representative or via telephone phone are subject to a 48 hour cancellation window and are treated as an “advance reservation ticket”. Once within the 48 hrs of reservation the credit card will be charged in full, unless otherwise noted or in the event of inclement weather where such services as tours or rentals are not conducted that day. All online ticket sales are subject to the terms and conditions associated with the ticket class purchased. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and cash. No personal or traveler’s checks will be accepted.

Online Sales or Ticket Class: Three ticket classes are sold online. Anytime class, Advance class and Web Special class. Anytime ticket sales can be changed or altered at anytime or moved to a different date and time within the calendar year. Anytime ticket sales can be cancelled and refunded up until 24 hours in advance of the reservation time and date. If the ticket is not fulfilled or results in a no-show the payment for sale is subject to forfeit and no longer subject to change or postponement. Advance reservation are non-refundable; however, can be changed or altered up until 48 hours prior to reservation. Web special tickets are non-refundable, and no changed cancellations or alterations can be made. All third party ticket are considered web special ticket sales. Third party vendors are considered as any ticket reseller or company other than that of Bike and Kayak Tours, Inc.

Groups: All group reservations must be cancelled no later than 7 days prior. All reservations created through the group sales department and or reservation for ten (10) or more people and or reservations given a special group discount are considered a group reservation. Any changes to the reservation must be made 72 hrs prior. A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required for all group reservations. The deposit is subject to forfeit after the 7 day prior deadline in addition the remainder of the payment due remain forfeit after the 72 hour deadline has expired. A final headcount and final payment is required 72 hours in advance of the service and will be processed with the credit card on file.

Cancellation process: Reservations that are subject to cancellation such as an Anytime ticket class must call 24hrs prior to the tour or rental reservation at (858) 454-1010. Advance reservation ticket class and Web Special ticket class sales are not subject to cancellation. Any tour or rental not cancelled properly in advance before your scheduled tour will be assessed the full amount of the tour. No shows or non-cancelled tours will be charged for the reservation in full.

3rd Party Tickets: All 3rd party tickets are non-refundable, non-cancelable, and non-transferable. All third party tickets are considered a web special ticket class. Any 3rd party tickets that are date and time specific are only valid for the specified time; exceptions for alternate dates or times will not be honored.

La Jolla location tickets: Recommended check-in time is 45-60 minutes in advance of scheduled tour/rental time. Roll call and guided tour briefings are conducted at the scheduled time and tours depart thereafter. There is a delay to accommodate for the tour introduction and instructional period; however, check-in must be completed in advance of scheduled tour/rental time and we advise early arrival to accommodate the check-in process and provide time for finding parking. Unguided rental reservations begin at the scheduled time; recommended check-in time is 45-60 minutes in advance of the rental period begins at the reserved time regardless of actual start time and rentals are due back at the scheduled return time. We advise allowing for extra time before and after the tour/rental to facilitate changing, going to/from the beach, using lockers, parking and rinsing off.

Coronado location tickets: Recommended check-in time is 30 minutes in advance of scheduled tour/rental time. Roll call and tour briefings and/or rental instructions are conducted at the scheduled time and tour/rental departs shortly thereafter.
